Goodbye swimteam/atā peldētājiem
It’s time to say goodbye! The Project is over….sad but full of nice memories. These last week’s I have spent having my last lasses, last dinners, last days at work, my last tango class, last swim training...and a lot of goodbye parties! It’s been a great 8 months, so many amazing people met and some good friend acquired.

Summer has arrived and for me it’s so strange to have Christmas without cold and snow...I miss snow.  To have some holyday feeling I now and then listen to Christmas music and make some traditional Latvian food and enjoy the few chilly days we have.

What am I going to do now? Well I stay in Uruguay till March. Marta and me, we found a summer job at the cost and be staying in Aguas Dulces (Sweet Waters), a little village on the east coast. We will be working in a restaurant Frogs. We met the owner in one of our hitchhiking trips and word by word we found out he is a chef and owns a restaurant and that he needs people for the summer. Sometimes it’s that easy my friends.
We already went to see the place and meet the people and it looks that it’s going to be an awesome summer. The same time we used the opportunity to walk to Cabo Poloño a beach village that is a bit isolated, because it’s a nature reserve and there are no roads. You have to walk about 6km or use the 4x truck service that take you there across the dunes.

The other good news are that all the volunteers found a house to rent in the same village and we all be spending some holyday time to gather and some of us even Christmas. We have told all our friends and people we know that we will be spending the summer here and as the east coast is a holyday destination for everybody we might get a lot of visits. I am very happy about that!
Well hopefully I will manage to let you know how I am doing now and then, because we will not have internet in our beach house (I am actually happy about that), so if we have a morning off and I find an Internet cafe I will update you.
